Hi there, nice toknow someone else cares. fyi the sandy bay and west end marine park has been taken over by a group of concerned people and with donations from various diveshops and businesses here on Roatan we are trying to do something. (BICA were proving useless) Our first project was to catch the poachers, we have two patrol boats patrolling the marine park daily and we have been very successful. This is ongoing. Another of our projects is to install moorings for the dive sites. These moorings will cost approx us$1000 each to put in properly. Right now we are trying to pass through government the rules and also a reef tax system so we can pay for the moorings. If you or anybody else would like to donate to this good cause you can contact me direct on info.....com or if you would like some more information on how you can help or are interested in attending our meetings. best regards Gaynor COCONUT TREE DIVERS
