I normally would not comment on a report like Mark's
because I have an obvious ax to grind in that I own
and operate Bay Islands Beach Resort.

I think Mark's comments are accurate. But since he was
stayed with us, we have gotten 2 new dive boats -
Island Hopper 32's, one of which is, we believe, the
fastest dive boat on the island.

We also think our dive operation is as good or better
than any anywhere. We are a NAUI Tech Facility (#:5 in
the world) which means we do trimix, rebreathers,
heliox, and heliair in addition to recreational diving
which is all most people are interested in. We are the
only resort in the Bay Islands that does this. We were
the first to do Nitrox when everyone else, including
PADI, was saying it's voodoo gas and will kill
    everybody.

Boats have radios, DAN oxygen, first aid kits, etc,
and the captains and divemasters are trained to use
them. We actually tumble and clean our scuba cylinders
regularly, VIP them annually, and hydro them every 5
years - things that are rare in the islands.

I also appreciate Mark's kind comments and hope he
will come back again, as a very high percentage of our
guests do. BTW, Gustavo, is still with us.

Again, I'm clearly biased but the above is true.
