Good evening, all: I am coming close to selling all of the 1000 hardback, First Edition copies of The Judas Bird, my historical novel about Roatán Island published in March of last year, and I am in the process of contracting to have the novel either entirely republished ( with typo corrections) or reprinted as a second printing (again, with typo corrections). I am leaning toward going with a paperback edition and, if so, in an effort to reduce the 973 pages of the First Edition, I am thinking ( as much as I hate to) of reducing the oversize font from 13.5 to that of the standard size font of 12. Even so, as those of you who have read the book know, it nevertheless will remain a large novel. I am as pleased as I can be with the feedback I have received from many of you, and my web master of the book's web site has suggested that I solicit additional reader reviews for the new edition (or reprinting) to be used along with the ones we now have on the novel's cover and new web site. If anyone who has read the novel would like to submit their own review, please look over the current website: We would be very pleased to receive your comments. The web master has the final say as to the editing and cutting of reviews, however, and my advice would be to keep them as short as possible. I am currently on chapter 10 of what I predict will be a 20 to 25 chapter new novel about the island's turbulent, but exciting history in the early 1700s. The title will likely be: Red at Dawn.. Hopefully, I will be ready for publication sometime in the late Fall.
