    Subject: [roatan] West End Road

Paved road in West End? My thoughts,if we have the
money to pave the road, why not put in culverts and
water drainge for the existing road? Take the rest of
the money and build a board walk along the waters
edge. We would need a substiantil sea wall built at
any rate for any road to survive . What ever they have
in mind is not enough, not planned or engineered. They
simply want to spend the money while they can. As
apparently the time for this GRANT is running out.
Does anyone know the amount of money set aside for
this project and who put up the funds. As it sound
like the present road could be fixed using this
money.I would also have to believe further down the
line they will also have to have a sewer system in
West End. What is the plan then to dig up the road and
lay the foundations for this. Also who is expected to
get the contracts to do this road??I am all for
improving the present road ,leaving it gravel or dirt
but not paved. I would think we could get a consensus
on the road improvements. I know there has been a
petition going around, however, I do believe as well we
need to present alternatives for the road other than
flat ourt rejection of the project. So let us offer up
    some ideas to the Municipal.
