Seriously, This bit about "needing" or "wanting" more info is, I understand. Human nature. But it is not relevant to this or any other message board. If you are looking for dive accident details then perhaps you should visit the DAN website. It is unfortunate that this happened but it is not the first nor the last diving accident Roatan or any other place will see where divers go. I imagine that if you are a dive business operator on Roatan you will get all the info you need, Also, If you are a certified diver you should have been informed of risks and understand that the environment CAN be a dangerous place. That said the "need" for info is disgusting. I am sure that all involved will grieve with or without outsiders knowing details, I am sure that some lawyers will be informed, And I am sure that it will be looked into as how to prevent future problems. Let it rest, wait and see if Dan issues a report in their next annual accident book, and let it be. Sure, We hated seeing the space shuttle blow up, the planes crash into the WTC, Etc.
