the condition of law enforcement on the island is, at best, a mess. i have met with 3 of the chiefs on roatan and am willing to provide assistance. these are some pretty good guys, and thats a start. unfortunately, they have very little money or equipment to due an ever increasingly difficult job. the key to this problem is networking and direct support. the police are currently recieving some training thru a program with the US Dept. of Justice. as even the national police are now civilians, i have agreed to help out with some of their equipment needs for servicable, used police equipment using the contacts i have made as a chief of police. i cannot do this alone. anyone wishing to assist with this project may contact me at my e-mail adress and we can get the ball rolling.
