List,
In the last two days, I have gotten flooded with online registrations for the Conference on Honduras 2005. We are now up to 90 confirmed attendees for the event, as compared to 44 last year at this time. We are on pace to hit 400 this year. This means we're going to have start thinking about seriously expanding our conference area, our seating capacity, our supply of food and beverages, our audio and projection equipment, etc. I plan to be in Copan Ruinas during the next week to meet with our planning team to re-evaluate our logistics and accommodations.
The deadline for early registration at $100 per person ends tomorrow, June 30. Late registration of $125 per person was scheduled to begin on Saturday, July 1. However, due to my inability to process the flow of the registrations that is coming in right now and update the online registration page to reflect the increase in the registration fee, I've opted to extend the early registration period through July 10.
Late registration will now begin on July 11 and run through September 30. For information on how to register online, by mail, or by direct deposit to our bank account in Honduras, see http://www.projecthonduras.com/conference. To read this information in Spanish, go to http://www.projecthonduras.com/conference/spanish_main.htm
Remember to try and work out your ground transportation and lodging reservations via Dennis Flores and Maya Temple Tours (http://.mayatempletours.com) in San Pedro Sula. Dennis' e-mail address is dennis.....com and his phone number is (504) 977-9843 or (504) 557-6008.
If you have registered and do not happen to see your name on the Confirmed Attendees list at http://www.projecthonduras.com/conference/confirmed.htm, don't worry... I will update that page as soon as I can.
To all of you who have e-mailed me during the past week requesting to present as part of a conference panel, please know that I have your messages in my inbox, and I will respond to you within the next two weeks. Bear with me. I am trying to work through a backlog of about 200 e-mails at the moment.
All the best, Marco
