I know Dave, :) I just get tired of all the hoopla about that end of the
island (no offense) to my friends who have resorts there. There are many
beautiful beaches on the island oops sorry:)

Don't tell people Camp Bay is the prettiest beach! Let them continue to
think Tabyana is. :)
When we first went there 8 years ago, before they were running 4-6
cruise ships a week through there it was a very beautiful spot. I know
I will get flamed for this but to tell you the truth the beach is now
nothing special. Too many people, too much trash. I guess if you live
in Colorado (not knocking Colorado by the way) and have been looking at
3 feet of snow in your front lawn you might get excited.
We just purchased in Palmetto Bay. No this is not a sales pitch. It's
about a one mile long beach. The look of the beach is what we
remembered Tabyana to look like 8 years ago. Quite and peaceful!
Thanks
Dave
PS. Just a little factoid. We went to Cozumel 8 years ago and they were
running 4-6 cruise ships a week through there then. We went last year
and were told they have 4-8 A DAY! Someone told me they had close to
100 in port on New Years that year. I find that hard to believe but the
writings on the wall people......

The view from the patio at Paya Bay is awesome over the cliffs, if you
had
come further east about 10 more minutes you would have reached Campbay
and I
think the prettiest beach on Roatan and it stretches for a couple of
miles.
Don't any body slam me either we can all have our own opinion.

I read your message with a sad heart. I was one of the "cruisers" this
past
July along with several members of my close family. We hired a car and
a
driver, took a drive up to Camp Bay, had a lovely lunch at Paya Bay in
a
stunningly beautiful restaurant, visited the Iguana Farm, and walked
through
West
End making several purchases. We did not stand on your reef or visit
your
whore house. All we did was try to drink in the beauty of the island
in
the
few hours that we had available to us. I regret that our presence was
so
abhorent.
