That's exactly right Phil , Dean ,Mitch and Steve are taking a lot of flack
over this not only on the list but on the street and its important that we
remember(we all need reminding of this ) what the purpose of this forum is.
I myself think that a lot of good came out of this incident that we should
be proud of as members of a multi-national expatriate community.
One thing I noticed the other day is that although we have no vote we wield
an enormous influence over what goes on here. Many years ago when I first
came here foreigners were few and far between and would never have been able
to sit on any board dedicated to public service let alone a meeting of a
city council. I was thinking , it would be interesting to know what
percentage exactly of the population are foreigners and what percentage of
land is owned by foreigners. Maybe Tomas T at the Voice has some
statistics.Would Prof. Evans know maybe?

This was not set up to be a public forum, it was set up by Dean and Steve to
help promote Tourism on the Bay Islands.

Dear Dean and list:
Personally, it disturbs me to know that a message I
send to this group might not get posted because of its
content. I think of this group as a public forum where
any member should be able to express an opinion or ask
a question. I guess I've just gotten too used to the
First Amendment.
