    Rachel,

You are kidding us about bringing a tiger to Roatan aren't you? How do you
expect to have adequate veterinary care and aren't you concerned that he may
    be poisoned or shot?

In the event that you are not kidding, yes you should be able to make
arrangements with a local butcher for meat. What part of the island do you
    intend to live at?

Hi, I'm new to the group, but I'm in love with Roatan already! My husband
and his family have bought a little parcel of land (5 acres) and we have
already found someone to build a little house on it. There are wonderful
views, and yes! we saw some wild parrots last week! It was just sitting up
there in a tree and looking around. I do like the idea of a nature preserve
on the island too, to go along with the jungle canopy tours maybe. That
would be a good place, and surely there won't be a lot of houses built
underneath the zip lines! Good idea! But I am asking if anyone can tell me
a good man to build a sturdy fence for Benjie, who will be living with us.
We have the papers all ready to go for him because my husband talked to some
people he knows. Benjie will be down in January and we will need a good
fence. Benjie is the cutest little Bengal tiger that you ever saw. He only
weighs 450 pounds right now, but when he is older he will be around 600
pounds. He will be a very good guard-kitty! Several of my friends from
South America, who live in Key Biscayne now, have them and they just love
them. But, we need a good fence for him. I've seen several of the better
homes on the island with them, you know, with the barbed wire on top? Also,
maybe some of the people reading this can help - Benjie needs about fifty
pounds of raw meat each day. Is there a butcher or a dog pound or something
like that on the island? Thanks, Rachel
