Hi Judy,
Just an update for you.
My wife (Olivera Jackson) and I (al Jackson) formerly of New Orlean, spoke to you about renting your property in Roatan a While ago.
We are ,since Katrina, living in Natchez, Mississippi.
I have retired and we now away from the path of the next Hurricane.
If you are ever in Natchez, please stop by for a coffee or tea.

David,
I have not forgotten about your request for examples of reef restoration, previously. There an island chain that was very successful at restoring their almost dead reef by stopping the run-off from new development, just as Roatan is experiencing. A film was shown on this in Baton Rouge for months at one of our governmental facilities with the film on the ceiling (IMAX?) I have been meaning to look into that for you and have not gotten to it. It's a great film you may want to show to your students.
Turning reef destruction around really can be done. Roatan's reef should not be written off.
Sincerely,
Judy Wright
